Power electronics in electrochemical applications
Research projects and development work
Focus is the development of innovative process energy sources (PEQ) for electrochemical applications. Customer destination applications are micro electrical discharge machining (µEDM), electro-chemical machining (ECM) and plasma polishing (PEP). In the foreground of investigation, consulting and contract research are higher quality surfaces of working material next to increasing the efficiency of the processing method and the specific customer problem.
Service:
- consulting and contract research
- development of applied sources by customer's specifications
- automatic process control
- consulting for measurement equipment
- investigation of ignition characteristics of liquid dielectrics
- investigation of single pulse process (workpiece-analysis according to customer's specifications)
- determination of ideal electric pulse parameters for several material combinations
